2019 NHL Awards Odds
The 2019 NHL awards have penalized on June 19 in Las Vegas, Nevada, and odds are out on which players will acquire the hardware at Sin City this time around.
BetOnline has released odds on each award, together with nearly all the props having a significant favorite.
Pettersson is a Close Lock for the Calder
One of the most prized individual decorations is that the Calder Memorial Trophy, which will be given to”the player chosen as the most proficient in his first year of competition at the NHL.” Vancouver Canucks star first-year center Elias Pettersson, who notched 66 points in his first 71 games, is the astronomical -5000 favorite for a reason. Pettersson is this year’s award ceremony’s biggest lock.
Masterton Trophy is Lehner’s to Lose The second-biggest front-runner is New York Islanders goaltender Robin Lehner to win the Bill Masterton Memorial Trophy, which is given annually to”the NHL player who best exemplifies the qualities of perseverance, sportsmanship and dedication to hockey.”
Lehner had an outstanding first season with the Isles while speaking openly about his problems with mental illness after enduring some tough years with the Buffalo Sabres, therefore it is no surprise to see that the netminder as the huge -3333 fave to win the Masterton.
Jack Adams Award Could Split Voters The only award that sportsbooks are projecting to be close is the Jack Adams Award. The Jack Adams is given to the NHL coach”adjudged to have contributed the most to his group’s achievement.” Tampa Bay Lightning head coach Jon Cooper is the odds-on -105 favorite, while Barry Trotz of this New York Islanders is +130 and St. Louis’ Craig Berube is +550.
It’s important to note that these awards are based on regular-season success, with all the playoffs not factoring to the Republicans’ decisions. For that reason, Cooper looks just like the ideal choice in my eyes due to Tampa Bay’s record.
