Head-Maarek backing Enable for historic third Arc win

Famous French trainer Criquette Head-Maarek will be cheering Enable on in her bid to win the Qatar Prix p lArc de Triomphe for a third time.
Head-Maarek saddled the powerful Treve to lift Europes premier all-aged middle-distance race in 2013 and 2014.
Treve fell short in her quest for an unprecedented hat-trick when fourth to Golden Horn but Head believes Enable is the horse to finish the task.
I hope she wins and now I will be there to see it – I think she is an unbelievable horse, and she recalls everything, said Head-Maarek, who wed in February 2018 after a highly-successful career spanning almost 40 years which comprised an earlier Arc victory with Three Troikas at 1979.
If she beats Treves album, I will be very pleased.
Treve was defeated by Golden Horn, however, it wasnt anything to be ashamed of. Of course that you would like to win, but its very difficult for a horse to win three times to the Arc.
it is my hope that this year Enable are going to be able to execute it.
Head, already full of admiration for John Gosdens celebrity, added:Shes done things Treve never did.
Shes travelled all around the world. She won the Breeders Cup following the Arc at America and that was.
Then she has won the King George twice. For me, she is the best horse Ive seen in years and years.
John is a wonderful trainer, and Frankie Dettori is a great jockey, so whats there.
I coached for her owner Prince Khalid from 1979 until I retired. He is the very best customer Ive known.
Hes a charming man and hes very simple to deal with. He deserves to win that race again with Enable.
You enjoy it once you find that type of creature running. You go racing to see the ones, maybe not the claimers or the disability horse as well as the excellent ones.
Racing is excellent for this, and itll be a wonderful afternoon on Sunday.
Head-Maarek has looked through the field in search of possible threats to the hot favorite, but cannot observe any horse.
I believe the principal danger for me with all the French horses could be the (Prix du) Jockey Club winner Sottsass, however we dont know exactly his values, she explained.
I dont believe the Niel was a great race, quality wise. You need to conquer far better horses .
Andre Fabre has a huge lawn, and his single real runner is Waldgeist. Hes a fantastic horse and consistent. He is in the first five or four, although he has not got the class of Enable. Andre knows what to do to really have a horse ready at the ideal time.
There is, as a strong challenge, needless to say.
You have (Aidan) OBriens horses, she said.
Magical is really a good filly, and Japan really is really a fantastic horse – but mentioning that, I think the filly (Enable) is far better than people on what Ive seen.
The Japanese horseswe dont understand them really well.
Everybody will be looking for her to triumph. A record needs to be defeated. Two wins is one thing, but 3 will be better.
Only fillies can take action, because if colts win the Arc twice, they visit stud – therefore there is no way.
You have got the perfect horse to do this year. For me, shes the very best of this area.
Enable will race out of stall nine of the 12 runners, but Head-Maarek considers the draw is immaterial – especially to a horse of her skill.
I won the Arc using a horse drawn in 22. At the space, 2400 metres, the draw doesnt mean anything, she said.
She is able of waiting, capable to go ahead and will be capable of accomplishing many things. She does not need anyone.
Frankie is indeed great. He knows Longchamp like his pocket. Nobody else will see , if she moves ahead.
She is that type of horse – you can do anything with. Shes really straightforward.
