It has been a wild ride as far as I continue to remain in this competition of 282 entrances above water. After six weeks, I am tied for eighth position, a half-point out of seventh, 1 game from 2 and fourth points from first, that pays 40% of the pot.
Ive experienced some ups and downs, and definitely a few breaks that are genuinely lucky.
In Week 1, I moved 6-1 but my loser was Nebraska -4 at Colorado. The Cornhuskers were up 17-0 at the half gave up 24 in the fourth quarter still had a chance in OT but head coach Scott Frosts play calls were terrible and the Buffs pulled a 34-31 OT win. That craziness prevented me from beginning the competition 7-0.
In Week 2, I went 3-1 with school dogs and that included carrying West Virginia +6.5 at home vs NC State and the Eagles of Eastern Michigan +7 against Big Ten school Illinois. Not only did cover but they won straight up. You do a little bit of confidence to gain whenever youre pulling games out up like this.
In Week 3, this is a 2-5 overall beatdown, my only losing week. I did predict Appalachian State to win with a field goal vs UNC and they did just that, but I had many losses that week too. I chased Michigan over Wisconsin that week and this game was a failure from the beginning. Afterward, in the NFL, Id the Falcons +2 against the Colts and then they lose three despite outgaining the Colts in each stat except that the only one that is the scoreboard and who counts.
In your home versus the Patriots and a great deal, I was really confident with all the Bills +7 in Week 4 and I was fortunate to insure that match.
That included Oregon State as a 6-point puppy that won straight up along with Stanford as a puppy that won up and in school I went 4-0-1 in Week 5 and the two groups won by 5 digits. WOW… I actually have to pat myself on the back for all those two Pac-12 beauties. I also pulled a tie +11 using West Virginia because I have a touchdown with 10 seconds left on fourth-and-10 from the Texas lineup.
In a blowout I dropped in Week 6 and have now learned the hard way to never bet against the Wisconsin Badgers again. Im 0-2 gambling against them and the two games were performed by halftime. Wisconsin may be the best team in the nation if you do that and sleeping on them at this stage is just silly. But aside from this, I moved 6-1 ATS for the third time in six weeks. I went to 2-0 in the contest simply taking the Houston Texans. I won with them +5 vs the Chiefs and at Week 1 when they had been +7 from the Big Easy from the Saints.
So all in all, I am still inside in 28-13-1 and may just hope I create intelligent selections and if I use the drive, toss a coin or throw darts to create themit doesnt matter as long as I are still around the perfect side more often than not.
