Its been a wild ride so far as I continue to remain in this contest of 282 entries above water. After fourteen days, I am tied for eighth position, a half-point from seventh, one game from fourth and two points from first, which pays 40% of the bud.
Ive had some ups and downs, and some breaks.
In Week 1, I first moved 6-1 but my loser was Nebraska -4 in Colorado. Head coach Scott Frosts drama calls were so dreadful and the Buffs pulled out a 34-31 OT win then still had an opportunity in OT although the Cornhuskers were up 17-0 at the half but gave up 24 from the fourth quarter. That craziness prevented me from beginning the contest 7-0.
In Week 2, I went 3-1 with college dogs which included shooting West Virginia +6.5 at home vs NC State and the Eagles of Eastern Michigan +7 against Big Ten school Illinois. Not only did cover but they both won straight up. When you are pulling games out up like this you do gain a bit of confidence.
In Week 3, it was a 2-5 overall beatdown, my only shedding week. That I had too many losses per week and they did just this, although I did call Appalachian State to win with a field goal vs UNC. I touted Michigan over Wisconsin that week and that game was a failure from the beginning. Afterward I had the Falcons +2 against the Colts and they shed by three despite outgaining the Colts in each offensive stat except the only one that is the scoreboard and who counts.
I had been really optimistic with the in your home versus the Patriots and a great deal and that I was blessed to cover that match.
That included Oregon State as a puppy that won straight up and Stanford as a dog that won straight up and in college , I went 4-0-1 in Week 5 and the two groups won by 5 digits. WOW… I actually have to pat myself on the back for all those two Pac-12 beauties. Because I have a garbage-time touchdown with 10 minutes left in the Texas line I also pulled out a tie +11 using West Virginia.
In Week 6 , I have now learned the hard way to not bet against the Wisconsin Badgers and lost in a blowout. Im 0-2 gambling against these and both games were done by halftime. Wisconsin may be the best team in the nation if you do and sleeping on them at this point is just silly. However I went 6-1 ATS for the third time in six weeks. I moved to 2-0 at the contest simply taking the Houston Texans as a road underdog. I won with them +5 versus the Chiefs and in Week 1 when they had been +7 from the Big Easy against the Saints.
So all in all, I am still in it at 28-13-1 and will only hope I make intelligent picks and if I use the drive, throw a coin or throw darts to make them, it does not matter as long as I continue to be on the right side more often than not.
