It has been a wild ride as far as I continue to stay over water in this contest of 282 entries. After fourteen days, Im tied to eighth position, a half-point from seventh, one match from fourth and two points from first, which pays 40 percent of the pot.
I have experienced some ups and downs, and definitely some genuinely lucky breaks.
In Week 1, I went 6-1 however my failure was Nebraska -4 in Colorado. The Cornhuskers were up 17-0 at the half gave up 24 in the fourth quarter after that still had an opportunity in OT but the drama calls of head coach Scott Frost were so terrible and the Buffs pulled a 34-31 OT win. This craziness prevented me from beginning the contest 7-0.
In Week 2, I went 3-1 with school dogs and that included shooting West Virginia +6.5 at house vs NC State and the Eagles of Eastern Michigan +7 against Big Ten college Illinois. Not only did both cover but they both won straight up. When youre pulling games out directly up like that you do gain a bit of confidence.
In Week 3, this is a 2-5 total beatdown, my sole losing week. That I had too many losses that week and they did exactly this, although I did predict Appalachian State to win with a field goal vs UNC. I touted Michigan over Wisconsin this week and that match was a failure from the beginning. Afterward I had the Falcons +2 from the Colts and they shed three despite outgaining the Colts in each offensive stat except the one that is the scoreboard and who really counts.
In Week 4, I had been confident with the at home throughout the Patriots and a lot and that I was fortunate to insure that match.
In Week 5I went 4-0-1 in school and that included Oregon State as a 6-point puppy that won up along with Stanford as a 16-point puppy that also won up and both groups won by 5 digits. WOW… I actually have to pat myself on the back for those 2 Pac-12 beauties. I also pulled a tie +11 together with all West Virginia as I have a touchdown with 10 seconds left fourth-and-10 in the Texas line.
In a blowout I lost in Week 6 and have learned the hard way to not bet against the Wisconsin Badgers. Im and halftime did both games. Wisconsin might be the best team in the nation if you do and sleeping on them is just plain absurd. Aside from that, I moved 6-1 ATS for the third time in a few weeks. I moved in the contest simply taking the Houston Texans as a road underdog to 2-0. I won with them +5 vs the Chiefs and in Week 1 when they had been +7 from the Big Easy against the Saints.
So all in all, I am still in it at 28-13-1 and can just hope I create smart picks and whether I use the force, toss a coin or throw darts to make themit doesnt matter as long as I continue to be to the perfect side more frequently than not.
