Coco Gauff beats Kiki Bertens for first Top 10 win of career in Austria

Coco Gauff maintained her first scalp of her career to make it to the semi-finals of this Upper Austria Ladies Linz.
The 15-year-old American needed a lucky loser place to get into the primary draw but has taken her chance superbly, along with also a 7-6 (7-1) 6-4 victory on the world No 8 Kiki Bertens gave her the biggest win, by ranking, of her early career.
Gauff, that had been guaranteed to break into the Top 100 would be the youngest girl since Nicole Vaidisova won Tashkent in October 2004 to reach an WTA Tour semi-final.
The success over top-seeded Bertens means she will take for a location within her first-ever WTA singles final on Andrea Petkovic of Germany.
Petkovic prevailed over Viktoria Kuzmova 6-4 6-1 to make sure she would be present in the last four.
The quarter-finals on the side of this draw view Jelena Ostapenko taking on Elena Rybakina and Kristina Mladenovic confronting the seed Ekaterina Alexandrova.
