NASCAR at Watkins Glen: Vegas odds, fantasy advice, prediction, sleepers, drivers to watch
The Big 3 will look to keep their dominance as NASCAR heads into the next road-course race of this season: the GoBowling in the Glen 220.
While Kyle Busch, Kevin Harvick and Martin Truex Jr. are understandably the favorites once more, on this 2.45-mile track at Watkins Glen there are bound to be a few drivers, that you might not expect, threatening the leaders.
AJ Allmendinger has only two top-10 finishes this season, but using four top-10s in his past five races at the Glen including a win in 2014, he’ll be at or near the top all day long as his aggressive nature plays well on these road courses – even if Watkins Glen isn’t as technically challenging as Sonoma.
Denny Hamlin may not be quite the exact same type of sleeper pick as Allmendinger, but with five top-10 endings – including four in the top 5 in his past five road-course races – the 37-year-old needs to be optimistic that he could catch his first win of this season in New York on Sunday.
