Storytime With Harry – The London Experience
I had a excellent time at London being a representative for Odds Shark while providing some material, and working. On Thursday night, I met Joe Osborne, Andrew Avery, known asNinja, Craig along with Alec at the resort and within one hour or two we were away to the normal Liege/Arsenal football match.
We had been trying to grab a drink nearby, however it wasnt so simple to get into a pub nearby Arsenals stadium. We discovered that the bouncers had to make sure that you had a ticket to the game and you werent allowed in the pub, if your chairs had been in the visiting area. WOW!! ?? Despite the fact that we capable to enter, according to the Arsenal bouncers, we decided to just get to the scene and have a beverage.
The stadium was beautiful, and we had a drink but when the match started, we realized the English do matters abit different than in the USA and Canada. Alcohol was not allowed to be consumed throughout the match, but at halftime in the lounges across the arena were giving away free beer. Yes, you heard me right they gave away free tap beer which we took full advantage of!?? But once the second half began beer was not permitted to be drunk within sales and the arena . Arsenal 4-0 won the match and they also scored three. This was something we did not expect although we had a fun time.
The next day we did a Friday Football variant of Guys&Bets where Joe and myself gave out our locks that just happened to win (always a fantastic thing) while I was shirtless in 48-degree temperatures only cause I felt like this.
Later that afternoon we took the subway to Oxford Circus which is a beautiful area of London where Big Ben and the jumbo Ferris wheel is, plus a kids carousel in which Joe and I chose to be children at heart and also rode it for the hell of it. We return to the hotel where I believe the significant league baseball match so that we can watch the playoffs because it wasnt on at any bar were illegally somehow streamed by us, nor was soccer — just to let you know.
On Saturdaywe ventured into a parlor where you can wager the NFL, horses, soccer along with the lotto. I attempted to bet a parlay but apparently the ticket writers had never heard this term before and following it an accumulator. But they couldnt get it correct so for the whole trip I moved wagerless (what would be the odds on this ).
Poor Ninja could not get blessed with his soccer plays but Craig, our video producer, was simply on fire with his soccer plays. After that, as West Ham and Crystal Palace were playing in the day we went to meeting West Ham United fans. We met with some characters who were quite nice folks and diehard fans.
We came into contact with a superfan named Perry who knew just about every single piece of West Ham Legislation we threw at him. Subsequently there were fans we all drank and chatted with, but a lady who was also a superfan made the guys day and mine with her gambling stories that are spectacular.
This ladys name is Ruth and she had been a riot, to say the least. She was a season ticket holder and traveled 6 hours roundtrip to see their home matches. She proceeded to tell me she loves to bet on roulette blackjack, the ponies, along with her dream soccer and hockey leagues. I asked her if shed had a bookie and she made a face at me as if I asked her the dumbest question ever.
Her reply wasof course I do and my nickname for him isTwat??and his or her isTinkerbell because we all understand bookies dont go by their specific names, that is gambling 101. Yesand to reiterate her nickname was reallyTwat. I had a few pints and a slew of laughs — should you just happen to see thisTinkerbell I only wish to say thanks for a wonderful afternoon.
We went to the scene where we did another show where Joe and I chose to give winners along with 3-1 underdog Crystal Palace angry West Ham. After the match, hang with the Hammer fans and we needed to stop in the West Ham bar, Carpenters Arms for another pint. We were hungry at this stage and no place was open so feel it or even in London on a Saturday night we settled for Dominos pizza. That is kind of sad, but it had been our sole choice and it really hit the??place.
Afterward the culmination of the trip happened as if we traveled into Tottenham Stadium to perform another Guys&Bets show only before watching the Chicago Bears (Monsters of the Midway)??carry on the (Silver and Black)??Oakland Raiders.
Joe and I gave the below in the match that we thought we had until the Bears gave up a drive, however we had a blast otherwise and still ended up going a joint 9-3 ATS for the whole trip.
As there were distinct and jerseys outfits 20, the fans in the game were in service of their favourite teams. In addition, I need to give a shoutout to your lover of my All Colors podcast, a man by the name of Jazz who understood me (somehow??) , called out my name and asked to get a picture which was really cool. Jazz gave us a meeting where he gamble with his spirit (as most Bears fans do) rather than his mind and lost money on an adjusted -9.5 lineup on Chicago.
We were lucky to see one of the more enjoyable games of the afternoon at an electric atmosphere and it was a pleasure to share this adventure.
OddsShark and thanks guys for this particular opportunity, wheres the excursion guys?
