Storytime With Harry – The London Experience
I had a terrific time at London being a representative for Odds Shark while providing some material that is amazing, and working. On Thursday night, I met Joe Osborne, Andrew Avery, also known asNinja, Craig along with Alec at the resort and within one hour or two were away into the normal Liege/Arsenal football match.
It was not very simple to get into a pub nearby Arsenals stadium, although we were trying to grab a drink nearby. We found out that first, the bouncers had to ensure you had a ticket to the match and you werent allowed in the bar then if your chairs have been in the visiting area. WOW!! ?? Despite the fact that we qualified to go into, according to the 300lb bouncers, we decided to just get to the scene and have a beverage.
The stadium was beautiful, and we had a drink but when the match started, we realized that the English do matters alittle different than in the USA and Canada. Alcohol was not permitted to be absorbed during the game, but at halftime at the lounges across the stadium really gave away free beer. Yes, you heard me they were giving away free tap beer which we took advantage of!?? But when the second half began beer wasnt allowed again to be drunk within the arena and sales ceased. The game was won with Arsenal 4-0 and they scored three??in the first 25 minutes. That was although we had a fun time.
The following day we did a Friday Football edition of Guys&acquaintances in which Joe and myself gave our locks out that only happened to win (always a fantastic thing) while I was indulged in 48-degree temperatures only cause I felt like it.
Later that afternoon we took the subway to Oxford Circus thats a gorgeous area of London where Big Ben and the jumbo Ferris wheel is, plus a childs carousel at which Joe and I chose to be children at heart and also rode it for the hell of it. We return to the hotel where I believe the major league baseball match so that we can watch the playoffs because it wasnt on at any given pub were somehow streamed by us, nor was pro or college football — just to allow you to know.
On Saturday, we ventured into a gambling parlor where you could bet horses the lotto, soccer along with the NFL. Seemingly although I attempted to bet a parlay the ticket writers hadnt heard that term before and following it an accumulator. However, they still couldnt get it correct so for the entire trip I went wagerless (what were the odds on this ).
Craig, our producer, was simply on fire although poor Ninja couldnt get blessed with his soccer plays. After that, as West Ham and Crystal Palace were playing with later we went to a pub to interview West Ham United fans. We met some characters who were diehard fans and quite nice folks.
To begin with we came to contact with a superfan called. There were fans we all chatted and drank with, but a candy woman who was also a superfan created mine along with the guys day with her stories that are gambling that are spectacular.
This ladys name is Ruth and she was a riot, to say the least. She was went hours and a season ticket holder roundtrip to observe their home games. She then proceeded to inform me she loves to bet on blackjack, roulette, the ponies, along with her fantasy soccer and hockey leagues. I then asked her if she had a bookie and shed made a face at me as though I asked her dumbest question ever.
Her answer wasof course I do and my nickname isTwat??and his or her isTinkerbell because most of us understand bookies do not go by their given names, thats gambling 101. Yesand also to emphasise her nickname was indeedTwat. Her and I had a few pints and a slew of laughs — should you just happen to read thisTinkerbell that I only need to say thanks for a wonderful afternoon.
Then we went into the scene where we did a different show where Joe and I chose to give winners and underdog Crystal Palace angry West Ham. Following the match, we had to stop in the legendary West Ham bar, Carpenters Arms for another pint and hang with all the Hammer lovers that are diehard. We were hungry at this point and no place was available so feel it or even at midnight we settled for Dominos pizza in London on a Saturday night. That is sad, however, it had been our sole option and it actually hit on the place.
Subsequently the culmination of the trip occurred as if we traveled to Tottenham Stadium to do another Guys&Bets show just before seeing the Chicago Bears (Monsters of the Midway)??take on the (Black and Silver )??Oakland Raiders.
Joe and I gave the below in the game which we believed we had before the Bears gave up a push, however we had a burst and still ended up moving a joint ATS for the whole trip.
As there were different and jerseys outfits 20, the fans in the match were in support of their preferred teams. I also wish to give a shoutout to your lover of my Against All Odds podcast, a man by the name of Jazz who recognized me (somehow??) , called out my name and asked for a picture that was very cool. Jazz gave us a meeting in which he wager with his heart (as most Bears fans do) rather than his head and dropped money in an adjusted -9.5 lineup on Chicago.
We were fortunate to watch a few of the more interesting matches of the day in an setting that is electric and it was a joy to share that experience.
OddsShark and thanks guys for this chance, where is the trip guys?
